Continuing to Make Our Homemade Baby Shower Invitations in Word.
If you are using card stock for your Homemade Baby Shower Invitations, be sure to adjust the paper size to match the size of the card stock. This is done by going to Page Layout → Size → You can select one of the pre-set sizes, (A4, A5, etc), or you can click on More Paper Sizes. When you get to the Page Setup pop-up box select Custom Size and adjust the Width and Height to be equal to the size of your card stock or photo paper.
- Then to create the invitation displayed here, I inserted a page border by going to Page Layout → Page Border → in the Borders and Shading pop-up box
- select Box under Setting and choose your border style and color. Click OK.
Then I clicked on insert → shapes → select the Rounded Rectangle under Basic Shapes and then click on the paper where you want the rounded rectangle to appear. Drag it until it reaches your desired size. Right click on the rounded rectangle and then click on Draw Text Box in order to make the inside of the Rounded Rectangle editable. See below.
Copy your picture from Paint by clicking on the dashed rectangle and clicking on your image and dragging the select box until it covers your entire image.
Paste the image inside the text box in the rounded rectangle.
The ribbon was inserted by going to Insert → Shape → click on ribbon.
Place ribbon in the area you want it to appear and expand it until it appears as you like. In order to input your text, click on the Draw Text Box as we showed you earlier.
To insert text and/or clip art anywhere else on the page, go to Insert → Text Box → Place Text Box where you would like the text to appear, input the text. Tip: If you do not want the Text Box to have a visible outline, right click on it and click on Format Text Box → Under Shape Outline, select No Outline.
Note: write all the important Baby Shower invitation on the back and Embellish with lace ribbon, colorful heavyweight background, or cute diaper pins.
