Example of What Should be Included On a Personalized Baby Shower Invitation

Personalized Baby Shower Invitations usually include a portrait of the expectant mother, in her delicate situation, alone or with her spouse/significant other. They can have a traditional, formal, cute, humorous, etc theme to theme and if you would like, you can add a verse. Here is one I have created in Word.

Direction on How to Make Your Own Personalized Invitation in Microsoft Word.

  1. The personalized invitation above was created in Microsoft Word by first changing the Size of the Page to A5. You can select a different size if you would like.
  • Page Layout → Size → Select A5
  • Next I added a page border
    • Page Layout → Page Borders → in the Borders and Shading pop-up box, select box under Setting and then select which style border you would like along with its color and width. Click OK
  • I inserted the ribbon which can be found by clicking on Insert → Shapes → select under Stars and Banners.
  • Place the ribbon on the page and drag it until it is the size of your choice.
  • Then, I inserted a rounded rectangle
    • Insert → Shapes → select rounded rectangle under Basic Shapes.
    • Place it on the page where you would like it to appear and drag it until it is the size of your choice.
    • right click on the rounded rectangle and click on Add Text.
    • Then select Insert → Picture → Select picture you would like to add to your Custom Baby Shower Invitation.
  • To add the text at the bottom, you select Insert → Text Box → add your text.
